Managing Widgets

Most pages in Pillars are built and customized using widgets. These widgets can be arranged, edited, and configured to display different types of content.

Accessing Page Widget Settings

To manage the widgets on a specific page:

  1. Go to Settings in the main navigation.
  2. Click on Pages.
  3. Find the page you want to edit and click the Edit (pencil) icon next to it.

This will open the page editor, where you’ll see all the widgets currently configured for that page.

Adding a New Widget

To add a widget to the page:

  1. Click the "Add Widget" button at the top-right corner.
  2. Choose the type of widget you’d like to add from the list.

Each widget type is named according to its function. For example:

  • Container Widget – Used to group multiple widgets together.
  • HTML Widget – Lets you create a fully custom widget using HTML.

Moving and Managing Widgets

Widgets can be rearranged by dragging them using the top bar of the widget.

Each widget also has a three-dot menu at the top-right. This menu allows you to:

  • Edit Widget – Change the content or settings of the widget.
  • Resize Widget – Adjust the widget’s width or height.
  • Publish / Unpublish Widget – Control whether the widget is visible on the live page.
  • Delete Widget – Permanently remove the widget from the page.

Editing a Widget

To edit the contents of a widget:

  1. Open the three-dot menu on the widget.
  2. Click "Edit Widget".

This will take you to the widget editor page. The editing interface and available options will vary depending on the type of widget you are editing.

Publishing Widgets

Widgets are not visible to users until they are published.

To publish or unpublish a widget:

  1. Open the three-dot menu on the widget.
  2. Select "Publish" or "Unpublish" as needed.

Unpublished widgets remain in the editor view but are hidden from the live page.
